Buttonhole tutorial

Might as well post a tutorial about it.

Buttonholes (boutonnières) are a very sturdy and historic way to reinforce lacing holes in fabrics. It is the most basic sewing technique but can be quite time consuming when done by hand. 15 minutes by buttonhole and I have nealrly a hundred to do in the gambeson I'm crafting... If only I had a sewing machine !

Instructions (I hope they are clear enough. Please correct me if I'm too fuzzy) :
1 - punch a hole
2 - Sew around to avoid the fabrics slipping
3 - Reinforce all around the hole
4 - hide and stop the threads by going into the fabric
5- make a double knot to stop the threads
6 - cut
7 - use regular or leather lace.
